Healthy Ways Wellness Program
To assist you and your family members to take an active role in managing your health, ING U.S. offers the Healthy Ways program. There are no out-of-pocket costs for the program or any impact to your regular health benefits. However, if you enroll in an ING U.S. medical plan and participate in the Healthy Ways program, you can earn incentive dollars from ING U.S. into your Health Savings Account (HSA).

Health Assessment Questionnaire (HAQ)
This health assessment questionnaire tool gives you a full analysis of your current health and a personalized Action Plan that will recommend the steps you should take to reduce your risks.
Wellness Coaching Program
Ready to take steps to improve your health? These programs can help you make changes to reach your goals. Whether you want to lose weight, reduce your stress level, quit smoking, or just improve your eating habits, these personalized programs can help you make small changes that can lead to big results.
This informational and educational service provides you with access to a nurse to answer general health related questions, to get information on routine illnesses and minor injuries, and to get in contact with other health care resources provided by ING U.S., including all of the Healthy Ways programs 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The condition management program provides a confidential, individualized approach in helping you manage one or more of the conditions of cancer, coronary artery disease (CAD), diabetes, and maternity.
If you are enrolled in a United Healthcare plan, you and your enrolled dependents are eligible to participate in the Healthy Ways condition management program. If you or your eligible dependent has been diagnosed with one of these conditions, you are eligible to receive personalized services, such as support, advocacy, information and education to help you better manage the condition.
Treatment Decision Support
Through UnitedHealthcare’s Treatment Decision Support program, you can speak with an experience nurse to help you explore your specific diagnoses and needs, offer objective information about treatment and follow-up care as necessary. This empowers you to make informed health care decisions based on your personal care preferences.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
The EAP is available to all ING U.S. employees and their dependents. It is designed to provide confidential support for both everyday challenges and more serious problems including:
- Depression, anxiety and stress;
- Substance abuse;
- Workplace problems or conflict; and
- Parenting and family issues.
