Rhonda Mims, president of the ING Foundation, the philanthropic arm of ING’s U.S. operations, will receive a special 2006 Spotlight Award from The Creative Coalition. Entertainment personalities Sean Penn, Marcia Gay Harden, Heather Graham, Harvey Keitel, and Branford Marsalis will also be honored.

The Creative Coalition awards, which recognize efforts in championing social welfare issues, are considered one of the entertainment industry’s most prestigious awards. This year, a special Spotlight Award is being bestowed upon Mims for her efforts in leading ING’s civic contributions to improving communities nationwide, through education, the arts and human services.

“This award recognizes Rhonda Mims’s exceptional service in shaping the direction and mission of the ING Foundation and its philanthropic programs, as well as encouraging a spirit of volunteerism and community service on behalf of ING employees across the United States,” said Robin Bronk, executive director, The Creative Coalition.

“On behalf of ING, and our 10,000 employees in the U.S. and 115,000 worldwide, I am honored to accept this award recognizing the ING Foundation,” said Mims. “Through our community involvement, we are proud to do our part to make it easier for kids to succeed – in school and in life – and improve communities in a way that will help raise the social standards of the future.”
