NEW YORK, May 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Voya Financial, Inc. (NYSE: VOYA), which has rebranded from ING U.S., announced today that it will hold its first annual National Day of Service on May 9, 2014.  The day will include over one hundred events across the United States, at which Voya employees will volunteer their time and energy supporting different philanthropic activities that focus on financial literacy, children's education and the environment.

"Knowing that a significant number of our 7,000 employees will come together on a single day to give back in the communities where we live and work is impressive and inspiring," said Rodney O.
