Signature Programs
ING U.S. signature programs draw upon the full resources of our family of companies to address dramatic, pressing social and community needs/issues. Designed, funded, and implemented by ING U.S., these programs bring together volunteers, financial resources, and community partners in long-term projects that change people’s lives. Signature programs typically address one of our four strategic areas: financial literacy, children’s education, diversity, and environmental sustainability.

ING-Girls Inc. Investment Challenge
ING U.S., in partnership with Girls Incorporated, launched the ING-Girls Inc. Investment Challenge – an innovative program that gives participating girls practical, hands-on investing experience while allowing them to keep their gains in the form of college scholarships. With the help and guidance of trained Girls Inc. staff and ING U.S. employee volunteers, teams of girls ages 12-18 build and manage diversified, real-time portfolios as part of an integrated investment- and economic-literacy curriculum. The program began in New York City, Denver, and Los Angeles and Alameda counties in California. The program expanded to metro Atlanta and New England in 2010.
