Learn About ING: Our Commitment to Education

While we help you achieve your personal financial goals, we also offer programs and sponsorships to help you in your classroom.

ING Unsung Heroes® Program
The ING Unsung Heroes® program recognizes those classroom heroes who take teaching to new heights and make learning fun. Each year, ING presents 100 grants totaling $240,000 to help fund innovative classroom projects nationwide.

National Teacher of the Year
ING is proud to be the first-ever presenting sponsor of the National Teacher of the Year program.

ING Foundation
The overall goal of the ING Foundation is to put at least 35% of total giving toward financial literacy programs. ING also recognizes the challenges in education in the U.S. and, therefore, the second-largest beneficiaries of financial support are programs and organizations with an educational focus.

ING Run for Something Better
The ING Run for Something Better, a charitable companion to ING's running event sponsorships, helps fund local running programs that help kids and their communities become healthier, stronger and more fit.

ING Girls Inc. Investment Challenge

ING, in partnership with Girls Incorporated, launched the ING Girls Inc. Investment Challenge - an innovative program that gives participating girls practical, hands-on investing experience while allowing them to keep their gains in the form of college scholarships.

ING Chances for Children
ING Chances for Children is a new global community development initiative aimed at establishing ING as a leader in providing educational opportunities for children and youth, both worldwide and in the communities were we live and work.

ING and Operation Hope

ING is a sponsor of Operation Hope which partners with more than 200 financial services companies to replace financial ignorance with something more powerful than money: Knowledge. Among their many projects, Operation Hope often conducts financial literacy tours in which business leaders visit inner city schools to educate low-income students about the importance of money management.

ING and Junior Achievement

Junior Achievement is a group of volunteers, educators, parents, and other contributors who seek to educate and inspire young people, grades K-12, to value free enterprise, business, and economics to improve the quality of their lives. ING has partnered with Junior Achievement across the country to teach kids the basics of saving and investing.

ING and AASA

As a co-sponsor of the National Superintendent of the Year (NSOY) Program, ING is proud to work with the American Association of School Administrators (AASA) and ARAMARK to recognize public school superintendents and their exceptional contributions towards educating America's youth.

ING and ASBO

ING is a proud Strategic Partner with ASBO International. Among several initiatives ING is the exclusive
sponsor of ASBO's Meritorious Budget Award (MBA) which recognizes school business officials
for excellence in budget preparation.
