The ING Life Companies support the goal of raising awareness about the importance of life insurance and encourage all Americans to take stock of their insurance needs. According to a survey conducted by ING US Insurance1, nearly 44 percent of those surveyed are only somewhat confident or not confident the amount of coverage they have is enough. “This is a perfect time to focus on an important part of your family’s financial security – yet one that’s often overlooked,” says ING US insurance’s CEO Butch Britton.

Sweet success didn't come easy for TLC's "Cake Boss"
When Buddy “Cake Boss” Valastro was just 17, he lost his best friend and mentor- his dad. And his family lost its breadwinner. Since his dad had no life insurance, Buddy dropped out of school to run the family business, working 12-18 hour days, six days a week and overseeing 30 employees. As spokesperson for this year’s LIAM campaign, Buddy is sharing his story so people understand what a big difference having life insurance can make. “If people depend on you, you have to protect them with life insurance,” he says.
