UPDATE – Requirements and protections have been extended until September 15, 2011
The ING family of companies extends their deepest sympathies to the people whose lives have been adversely affected by the tornadoes in the Counties of Jasper and Newton in Missouri. You have our admiration and respect for your fortitude and resilience.
The Missouri Department of Insurance has issued an Insurance Bulletin (the “Order”) to assist those impacted by the damage of the tornadoes. This Order establishes, in part, limits on the cancellation of insurance coverage for victims of the tornadoes in certain counties of Missouri.
In accordance with the Order, the Company intends to provide the appropriate relief with respect to the potential lapse or termination of your life insurance policy. Between May 22, 2011 through September 15, 2011 (the Order expiration date) you may disregard any grace period, lapse-pending or cancellation notices. You may continue to remit premium and/or loan payments during this time if you wish. Please feel free to contact us for a quote of premiums due. When you resume premium payments, you will be required to also pay premiums whose due dates were extended under the Order.
If your policy is currently being funded via electronic funds transfer (EFT) or monthly bank draft, please be aware that the company will continue to draft your bank account. If you wish to have the EFT stopped and changed to direct billing please contact our Customer Contact Center.
Further, if during this difficult time you are unable to locate the original contract the ING family of companies will provide you with a copy free of charge.
