Jeff Becker is chief executive officer of ING U.S. Investment Management, the asset management subsidiary of ING U.S., which plans to rebrand as Voya Investment Management in May 2014. In this leadership role, he drives the strategic direction and operational performance of the firm, which manages approximately $200 billion for both affiliated and external institutions as well as for individual investors (as of 12/31/13).

Before being appointed CEO in October 2009, Becker was vice chairman, chief operating and financial officer for ING Investment Management Americas. He joined one of ING Investment Management’s predecessor asset management companies in 1998 and ultimately served as its chief financial and administrative officer responsible for its strategy, finance and business operations, and support. Prior to joining ING, Becker was chief credit officer and head of Portfolio Analysis for Aetna Real Estate Investments. He was a senior manager in Arthur Andersen’s financial consulting practice before joining Aetna in 1994.

Becker earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Colgate University and a Master of Business Administration in finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
