When it comes to financial planning in the Bronx, Manuel Munoz, CFP®, is the RAIN man. Munoz, CEO of M Advisory Group, volunteers to teach financial planning classes in both English and Spanish to the 1,200 employees of RAIN (Regional Aid for Interim Needs), a non-profit multi-service organization network that operates senior centers and a number of other support programs throughout the Bronx. For most of RAIN’s employees, many of whom only speak Spanish, this is the only financial planning instruction they receive.

In addition to his work with RAIN, Munoz also serves on the board of the Mid-Bronx Hope Charter Elementary School and has volunteered as a high school football coach in the Bronx.

For his work, Munoz has been honored in the September issue of MONEY Magazine in a series called A Fresh Approach. The program – developed by ING U.S. Financial Services, the Financial Planning Association and MONEY Magazine – recognizes fresh thinking and the extraordinary work of financial planners.
